I attended Robin Reynolds' workshop, A Call To Create, this spring. Over eight weeks, I developed a regular creative practice, by creating an art journal and a notebook to organize my days and reflect upon them. But it was so much more than that! Each week, Robin inspired her students with prompts and teaching designed to help us use our creativity to process the stuff of everyday life and to express what's inside of us.
|
She challenged us to take the creative work deeper, to seek out our individual truths and to confront areas of our lives where we truly need ourselves. I recommend A Call To Create and any other course Robin may teach. She is a very enthusiastic and warm person, with a passion for helping others change their lives with their creativity. Robin shared her own creative process, while sharing her wisdom and guidance via video. A Call To Create encouraged us to take a good look at the world around us and at our part in all of that, encouraging us to honor ourselves and our lives by using our creativity.

The classes even include videos from other well known artists and writers. Robin built a wonderful course. She presents clear examples of her lessons, as she’s accomplished in both writing and art. (And in a number of other areas in her life.) Robin’s warm personality brightens each lesson. I found her to be accessible and encouraging. Robin has inspired me to take on new risks in my creative life. I definitely recommend A Call to Create.
Robin crafted a wonderful class in A Call to Create. She provides lessons that cover writing and visual art in a new way. I’ve done both activities over the years, but have never thought to combine these skills. Robin gives her students the opportunity to practice art and writing in a thoughtful format. There are opportunities to read, write, learn, reflect, paint/draw, share, and delve deeper into each lesson. See Yvette's work here. |
Who am I?
I'm Robin Reynolds. I'm a systems engineer & a creative coach, but most importantly, I'm wildly, madly, passionately in love with my life. But it wasn't always that way.
For the first 34 years of my life, I let myself be swept along by the current. I didn't understand that I had the power to intentionally influence my experience and path forward. As a reaction to an intersection of multiple difficult events (yep, the infamous rock bottom is a real thing), I began to slowly piece my life back together in a way that was aligned with who I wanted to be. |
Not who I thought I was at that moment, not who people told me I was or should be, but an incredible, capable, strong version of myself. [This is where we cue the unicorns and confetti!] I had a slowly dawning, mindset shift and eventually, I figured out how to make it a reality. This process took me well over a decade and I'm still working on it daily.
I want to share what I've learned to shorten your journey along this path.
Let's intentionally discover who you WANT to be – deep down, in your heart of hearts. Let’s find out what hopes and dreams are simmering down there (maybe for a very long time), waiting for you to turn your attention to them.
Time to put an end to that.
This isn’t about how to do more, be more, or accomplish more. It’s completely unrelated to hustling, hard charging, or some enormous achievement.
Nope, nope and absolutely nope.
This is about breathing life into your aspirations, hopes, and dreams. It’s about freedom, courage, and the power of stepping up for yourself. How to hear that teeny, tiny little voice that you’ve been quieting for years, possibly a lifetime. It’s about taking some time to be intentional about making plans and choices for your life.
Because, friend, in the words of the poet Mary Oliver, this is your one wild and precious life. Let’s engage in it as deeply, fully, and authentically as possible.

FAQ: Got questions? I have answers!
- Do I need a ton of expensive supplies? Absolutely not. The collaboration is focused on deep work, lasting change, and being present for the creative process, not fancy supplies.
- How much time does it take? This is a self-paced collaboration. You may spend as much or as little time as you like, no expectations at all.
- What if I'm intimidated by art and artists? Don't be! We won't be focused on fancy-schmancy art. We're going to be working on even more important things - like vision, commitment, and courage. The creative work is how we get there and take my word for it, the wilder and messier the art is, the more you will learn and enjoy the process. FOR REALS.
- Do I need to be an experienced artist? Nope. This is perfect for all levels of experience, even those with no experience and beginners.
- What if I need help or encouragement along the way? I'll be available by email or in the Facebook group PLUS your fellow participants will be there.
- What if I don't do it "right"? IMPOSSIBLE. There is no right way to do this. Come as you are and bring your precious gifts.
- I have other questions. How can I contact you? Email me: robin@robin-reynolds.com
